Nepali Youth

Development Project

Working with in-country volunteers, NYDP identifies ambitious young women in Nepal without the resources to pursue education, provides them with scholarships and family support, and empowers them to provide leadership in their families and communities.

Our Mission

NYDP is a growing non-profit organization based in Seattle, WA, providing educational support for girls primarily in Chitwan District, Nepal.  NYDP believes in empowering girls, promoting gender equality, and alleviating poverty through girls’ education.  The project directly serves girls in Chitwan District, Nepal, between the ages of 12-24.  Since its inception, NYDP has served seventeen girls directly with scholarships, and has indirectly served approximately 50 of their family members through family support services.

Founded by returned Peace Corps volunteers in 2011, NYDP is operated by volunteers and 100% of all donations go towards providing scholarships.
